To celebrate the 20th production year of Ancient Mesoamerica, leading scholars were asked to submit summaries of their specialties over the past two decades. These backgrounds, developments and direction, past and future, of the discipline have been coalesced into the Katun issue (2009). Each contributor also submitted their research bibliographies, now combined into a comprehensive bibliography of useful resources in Mesoamerican research.
